Meet the Founder

Sultana Rosario, M.A., CCC-SLP
Founder/Executive Director/Speech Language Pathologist

Sultana Rosario is a Speech & Language Pathologist, founder  and executive director of Rosario Therapy Center. She acquired her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with a focus on Biomedical Osteology in 2007 and her Masters of Art in Speech and Language Pathology in 2011. She was awarded her Certificate in Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology in 2012 by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Sultana is currently pursuing ASHA board certification in swallowing and swallowing disorders, certification in oral placement therapy, and orofacial myofunctional therapy.

Sultana first discovered the speech and hearing world working as a medical assistant for an ENT and Allergy Specialty Group and as a program assistant in a congregate-care facility located in New York City.  Her love of the medical field and servicing populations in need led her to develop her career as a Speech and Language Pathologist. Prior to finding love and passion in aiding children with speech and language disorders, she was a trial discharge caseworker in N.Y.C. She advocated for and facilitated the safety and wellness of New York’s vulnerable and marginalized children exiting the foster and congregate care systems. Shifting into the medical social-welfare field of speech, language, and hearing sciences, she was able to implement her learned skills seamlessly in the military and expatriate community by providing a gold standard, evidence-based service for infants and children in need for the last 10 years.

When Sultana is not glued to her computer, conducting therapy, being a super mom, or carrying out the many tasks needed for her clinic, she is giving back to the professional community by serving on the board of the Overseas Association of Communication Sciences (OSACS), ensuring that opportunities for continuing education abroad are accessible for professionals. Sultana also maintains and advocates for cultural awareness and diversity in the community by supporting the Kaiserslautern Military Community Caribbean Heritage Association in their volunteer efforts and local events. When Sultana is not actively engaging in improving professional growth, community relations, education, therapeutic services and diversity, she balances her mission and motherhood with play. She is a veteran skater and Training Chair for Kaiserslautern Roller Derby, a traveling international sports team connecting people from all walks of life in an inclusive, active, and fun atmosphere.

Thomas Kinkade said, “Balance, peace, and joy are the fruit of a successful life. It starts with recognizing your talents and finding ways to serve others by using them.” Sultana embodies this message as she continues to apply her acquired knowledge in servicing her community across all facets of need and engagement.

Sultana is bilingual in English and Spanish. She can be reached at srosario@rosariotherapycenter.com
